Stretch Marks Treatment

Claim back your body confidence with stretch mark reduction!
Most of us have (or will get) stretch marks somewhere on our body. It is your skin’s natural response after rapid weight or muscle gain/loss.
Before After
Stretch marks most commonly occur during puberty, pregnancy, or weight training. They can really impact our self esteem, particularly when they are new as they first appear red/purple.

Stretch Marks Treatment

Stretch marks will become less noticeable on their own overtime. Whilst they first appear red/purple, they will fade to white eventually. However if you prefer to treat your stretch marks, we highly recommend to treat them whilst they are fresh.

The red/purple appearance indicates that you still have blood flowing to the area. This blood flow allows for more effective treatment and better results. Whilst we can still treat white stretch marks, the results are slower and not guaranteed.

In both cases, a course of 6-8 Radiofrequency (RF) Microneedling/CO2 Laser treatments, with monthly intervals, is typically recommended for best results. As with all laser treatments, the frequency & number of treatments depends on your skin type and the affected area.

To determine your suitability for treatments, we recommend visiting us for an initial Skin Therapy consultation. To schedule a consultation, click here.

Technology

We have found that combining both Radiofrequency (RF) Microneedling and CO2 Laser Treatments in the one session offers most effective results for both new and old stretch marks. At City Laser Clinic, we use Vivace’s RF Microneedling and the Fraxis CO2 Laser. Both of these devices are medical grade and TGA approved, ensuring the utmost safety and effectiveness per session.

Both of these treatments work by damaging the skin in order to allow it to heal and repair itself. The advantage of having the RF Microneedling first is that we are able to penetrate up to 3.5mm into the skin and target multiple levels within the skin. As the RF is emitted into the deeper levels, you will also receive a tightening effect. The CO2 Laser will then completely resurface the upper layers of the skin, improving the overall appearance of the skins surface.
