Unlike freckles, solar lentigos are more likely to arise as we age and usually start appearing after the age of 40. They are more noticeable in those of us that have had more exposure to the sun and subsequently ultraviolet radiation. For this reason, they are predominantly found on areas of our body usually exposed to the sun.
Solar Lentigo Treatment
We understand the negative impact that damaged looking skin can have, especially on our face & hands. Removal of solar lentigos is a common request for us at City Laser Clinic. As solar lentigo’s are surface pigmentations, we are able to remove the spots within 1-4 treatments. These treatments are to be done at 4 week intervals for best results.

Technology
To successfully remove solar lentigos, we use our Medlite Q-Switched laser. The Medlite Q-Switched laser is a medical grade device that is able to safely remove the spot. The spot will scab up and fall off within 2 weeks of the treatment, with no remaining marks. You will forget you ever had the spot to begin with!
Downtime
2 weeks downtime. If your solar lentigo is on your face, you can cover it with makeup from the third day post-treatment.
