BIOREPEEL
It seems that we’re all on the quest for glowing and youthful skin! As a result, there are now many treatments that have emerged offering promising results. One of our newest favourites include the BioRePeel. This innovative peel has captivated the beauty world with its ability to rejuvenate the skin, diminish imperfections, and unveil a radiant complexion. In this blog post, we’ll delve into the details of the BioRePeel, exploring its benefits, the procedure itself, and what to expect during the recovery process.
What can it treat?
BioRePeel helps best with;
- Acne, breakouts, and congestion
- PIH acne scarring
- Fine lines & wrinkles
- Rough skin
- Sun damage & melasma
- Enlarged pores
How many treatments will I need?
Best results are seen after a series of treatments, especially when paired with another advanced skin treatment. A series of 6 treatments on a regular basis of 7-10 days apart are recommended for best results. To maintain results, it is then advised to continue with a maintenance peel every few months.
Is there a best time to do the treatment?
Unlike other peels, the BioRePeel can be performed at any time of the year. You will need to consider that you may experience mild peeling for up to one week so you will want to plan your schedule around it.
This peel does not have to be left on the skin, so make-up can be worn immediately afterwards. i.e. yes, you can do it on your lunch break!
Perfect skin is just a peel away!
How does it work?
The BioRePeel is a medium-strength chemical peel designed to improve the overall appearance of the skin. It contains a blend of powerful ingredients that work together to exfoliate the outermost layers of the skin and stimulate the skins natural regeneration process. Within a week, your skin will physically shed its first few layers, revealing fresh, new skin beneath!
The key components of the peel include;
- TCA (Trichloroacetic Acid): Helps to remove dead skin cells and promote new cell growth.
- Salicylic Acid: Provides deep cleansing and exfoliation, particularly beneficial for oily and acne-prone skin.
- Lactic Acid: Hydrates and brightens the skin while improving its texture.
- Phenol: Works to reduce fine lines and pigmentation.
The combination of these ingredients helps to improve skin texture, reduce signs of aging, and address various skin concerns such as acne scars, uneven pigmentation, and dullness.
Before the peel
BioRePeel is suitable for all skin types and tones.
There is no specific preparation for BioRePeel, however there are things you will need to avoid before getting the peel done.
- Two weeks before peel: Avoid any other advanced facial (such as other chemical peels, skin needling, fractional laser, etc.). Also avoid excessive sun exposure. Wearing SPF daily is a must!
- One week before peel: Avoid skincare that is exfoliating or containing retinoids, AHA’s, BHA’s, or any other strong topical treatments.
The procedure
The treatment itself takes approximately 15-30 minutes. It includes a cleanse, application of the peel, deactivation of the peel, serum, moisturiser and SPF50+.
You can continue with your usual makeup/homecare regime after the treatment with the exclusion of active ingredients for 14 days.
What you can expect during the treatment
Unlike other peels, the BioRePeel is very comfortable with minimal tingling/irritation. Once the peel has been deactivated (after 3-5mins of being applied), there will be no residual tingling sensation and your skin will feel back to normal.
Recovery and Aftercare
Post-Treatment Care
After a BioRePeel, you might experience some redness or mild peeling, which is a normal part of the process.
It’s crucial to follow post-treatment care instructions provided by your skincare professional.
The following should be avoided 1 week before and after the treatment:
- Electrolysis, Waxing, Depilatory creams, and Laser hair removal (on the area)
- Any exfoliating products
- Any products that may be drying or
irritating, including products containing salicylic acid, AHAs
(including glycolic acids) and products containing Vitamin A/Retinol - Shaving of the area to be peeled should be avoided on the day the treatment.
- After the treatment you may be more sensitive to sun exposure. Take precautions by using a daily SPF50+. We recommend limiting sun exposure for at least two weeks after your peel.
